A double CD by SARU practitioner (and a former student on Oxford Brookes’ Approaches to Experimental Composition and Sonic Art MA course) Thomas Martin Nutt, will be released during the upcoming audiograft festival this March, 2018.

Martin’s work with the physicality of interference takes place within the beating patterns of a multi-sensory field, a Moiré, and to celebrate his wonderful compositions, SARU invited a number of artists from around the world to realise his work.

The release features interpretations by Tetuzi Akiyama, Harriet Butler, Sarah Hennies, Ryu Hankil, Ko Ishikawa, David Lacey, Sally Ann McIntyre, Will Montgomery, Joseph Clayton Mills, Shirley Pegna, Rie Nakajima & Marie Roux, Samuel Rodgers, Lo Wie, and Keiko Yamamoto.

You can listen to a 49 minute realisation by Joseph Clayton Mills here – Moiré

You can also read a wonderful piece by Sally Ann McIntyre about spending time with the score HERE

And finally, as part of audiograft 2018, Tess Denman-Cleaver, artistic director of the Tender Buttons theatre and performance company, will be realising a Moiré live at the Holywell Music Hall
