An album of two improvisations and a realisation of John Cage’s Four6 by Patrick Farmer (turntables), Stephen Cornford (amplified piano), Sarah Hughes (chorded zither) and Kostis Kilymis (electronics) has been released on the Another Timbre record label. The disc is par of a five disc series focusing on the increasingly fertile exchange between post-Cageian composition and post-reductionist improvisation, and in particular on the work of younger musicians committed to pushing the boundaries of contemporary music. The disc was recorded by Simon Reynell at Oxford Brookes in March. There is more information, including an interview with Sarah, here: http://www.anothertimbre.com/page95.html
